Meet Our Doctor and Team

Dr. Paolo Moreno

Dr. Paola Moreno brings more than a decade of pediatric dentistry experience from Colombia, complemented by specialized training in the United States through the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program at the University of Rochester. Her advanced training has focused on caring for children and adults with developmental and special healthcare needs.

Known for her gentle, patient, and compassionate approach, Dr. Moreno strives to create a welcoming environment where every child and family feels heard, respected, and at ease. She believes that trust, kindness, and clear communication are the foundation of positive dental experiences, especially for children who may feel anxious or require individualized care.

Dr. Moreno embraces a whole-child philosophy, considering nutrition, overall health, growth and development, and the use of biocompatible dental materials when appropriate, alongside preventive and minimally invasive dental care. She is dedicated to helping children build healthy habits and positive relationships with dentistry that can last a lifetime.

Dr. Bhumija Gupta DDS, MS

Dr. Bhumija Gupta is a highly respected Biological, Restorative, and Cosmetic dentist, and the owner of BG Dental Wellness & Cosmetic Center. As the only SMART-certified (Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique) dentist in Rochester and Mendon, NY, Dr. Gupta prioritizes patient safety and holistic care in every aspect of her practice.

Her expertise spans dental ozone therapy, biological dental surgery, Bioclear restorations, and advanced cosmetic dentistry techniques. She is deeply committed to continual learning, attending numerous continuing education courses each year to remain at the forefront of dental innovation and to provide her patients with the most effective and minimally invasive treatment options available.

Dr. Gupta is an active member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology (IAOMT), Holistic Dental Association (HDA), American Dental Association (ADA), NY State Dental Association, and the 7th District Dental Society.

She is among the few dentists in Rochester offering microscopic dentistry, enhancing precision in general, cosmetic, and restorative treatments. As a certified Bioclear® treatment provider and an experienced practitioner in treating Obstructive Sleep Apnea with oral appliances, she combines technical skill with a holistic, patient-centered approach.

Passionate about building genuine relationships, Dr. Gupta strives to connect with each patient on a personal level. She believes in empowering her patients through education, ensuring they fully understand their diagnosis and treatment options to become active partners in their care.

Before establishing her practice, Dr. Gupta was deeply involved in dental research. She attended international conferences, reviewed papers for peer-reviewed journals, earned multiple awards, and published extensively in dental and medical journals.

When asked why she loves dentistry, she shares,

“I love building personal relationships with my patients and treating the person, not just the tooth. My motto is ‘Care, Comfort, and Convenience.’”

Outside of her dental practice, Dr. Gupta enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and their two daughters.

Dr. Camilo Leal

Dr. Camilo Leal is a compassionate oral and maxillofacial surgeon committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care with an emphasis on comfort, education, and clinical excellence.

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from El Bosque University School of Dentistry, where he also completed a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He practiced exclusively as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Bogotá for more than 14 years while serving as a clinical professor at El Bosque University.

Passionate about advancing the profession, Dr. Leal has lectured and instructed dental implant training programs throughout Latin America, teaching advanced surgical techniques to dentists in continuing education programs.

After completing additional training at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, University of Rochester, Dr. Leal became a full-time Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry, where he taught oral surgery and implant procedures to dental residents. He currently holds clinical privileges at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC).

With more than 25 years of experience in surgery, education, and patient care, Dr. Leal is dedicated to helping patients make informed decisions and achieve healthier smiles through personalized, evidence-informed treatment.

Outside the office, he enjoys flying, traveling, and spending time with his wife, son, family, and friends.
